NaNoWRiMo: Excerpt
Nov. 30th, 2002 10:16 am"When I was a little girl," she said, "They told us that every snow flake was unique, no two alike. I thought it was a miracle." Her breath fogged before her face as she spoke, and then drifted to oblivion. "I read an article recently where mathmaticians have declared that it wasn't true, that due to the limited number of configurations possible for ice crystals, that statistically speaking, there would have to be duplicates. I wanted to cry. The uniqueness of the snow flake may have been ficition, but it was a pretty fiction. I wish I hadn't read that article."
