Seven years

Almost--on August 25th, it will be seven years since Lynn and I began our one-night-stand. Yes, a one night stand. We met at a bar. She chased me for over a year, but I would have nothing to do with her because she was too young, too new to being out. She hadn't even lived on her own. But one night, at Devilles, she was there, and I... had an itch. I took her home with me, and she hasn't left since. I am glad of that.
We spent our first weekend in Provincetown during hurricane Eduard, Sept. 3, 1996. It is from that time that we reckon our anniversary. Here is a picture of us on Fisherman's wharf, leaning headlong into the winds.
I am the one on the left. Those were skinnier days for me.
I should be cleaning house, because she is coming home today from about 3 weeks in Washington state--and here I sit writing in my live journal instead. *grin*
We will be going out for dinner tonight.
