What a stunning, STUNNING marriage of art and technology; I'm reminded of my own delight and wonder at finding high-resolution TIFFs of the Beowulf manuscript online, years ago, images so intense that you could actually see the difference in texture of the palimpsest where words had been rubbed out and re-written.
