I survived Christmas 2008.
Dec. 26th, 2008 08:34 pmWell, Christmas is over. Mostly it was a good day--minimum of drama, kind words were plentiful, food was good.
I spent the day rearranging my room; Bed is no longer under the window, so I should be warmer. I've finally set up my X-stitch area, complete with a work in progress. Just haven't had the focus to sit down and do it today.
I'm not sure why, but I found myself mentally cataloging what I'd take if I have to leave my newfound home. I'm seriously thinking of applying at Death Valley. My car is in good working order, I know what I'd need to take with me, and I know I'd love to photograph that area. Winter is of course the best time of year to work there.
I'm also thinking of returning to New England next year. I miss it terribly, and I miss my son.
I should be getting a nice sum of money in a week, and it'll be good to pay bills again. First order of business, pay my internet bill. I really, really need to be connected to the rest of the world.
I suppose I'm getting itchy feet.
