It was too good to be true. I was laid off from my job at the lumber yard yesterday. They have had a downturn in business, nothing I did wrong. On top of that, I didn't earn enough money to qualify for unemployment benefits.

According to the letter UI sent me, I could claim benefits if I worked enough to earn $1100+, or 5X my base amount.

Further, I no longer qualify for food stamps because I made money for two weeks. Nor do I qualify for General Assistance.

Mentally, I'm scared, and a bit depressed. I had a good cry last night, and that helped some, but I'm on edge. I haven't gone out photographing in ages.

On the plus side, I was able to pay Karen part of my rent, ($180 out of $200), I've got $30 coming in the mail, and a friend is gifting me with $50 tomorrow. (Bless you, bless you!)

I'll be able to pay for my car insurance, buy some smokes, and pay the rest of my rent.

I need $121 by Jan 1st to cover my storage fees.

Tuesday I am going up to Yosemite to sell pictures again.
