Jul. 30th, 2003 11:28 amI'd recently added "dressage" to my list of interests because I'm taking horseback riding lessons. Today I decided to access the list of others who have the same interest, and once again was intrigued by a user name: "write like you have no lj friends".
Welcome to cd322. While I didn't find much reference to dressage on your livejournal, I did see the spectacular photo of you in English riding gear.
cd332 is only 3 degrees of separation from me

cd332 (3 hops)
I am reminded of Miranda's line from Shakespeare's The Tempest:
"O, wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,
That has such people in't!"
"The Tempest" Act V, Scene 1
cd332 (Felix?) is a transvestite with a wonderful sense of line and form. His website "The Art of Not Passing"is beautifully designed.
I find the photos elegant and sophisticated. They challenge assumptions, are windows on a larger world.
cd332, I went looking for folks who ride horses over obsticles. And I found you. Not so bad, is it?
For a sense of cd332's writing, I recommend the following entry:
"young cd332 hangs out with all the boys"
I seem to have this talent for finding wonderful people on LiveJournal.

ride like you have no riding friends (ok...maybe that didn't come out right)

I'm sure you've probably come across it already. But it's been around even before the WWW was invented. You could try http://groups.yahoo.com and type in equestrian too.
There's painful little coverage of dressage on tv in the states.
Thankfully I live near enough to all the farms that I could go to a show if I choose to. There's also the USET at hamilton farms, and the National Horse Show (back in it's original place in Madison Square Garden).
Do share your adventures with us!As for me, I need to get back to updating my website (after two years of neglect!).
ahoy,
just another lj bunny

(BTW, great website. Even if it is 2 years neglected. Damn my 56K dialup, I want to see more, faster!)
