A Brooklyn-raised Marine sergeant and his new bride were tortured and killed execution-style in their California home - allegedly by four other Marines under his command.

I don't see it. If it's a matter of race, http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Slain_Marine_Wife_Had_Strong_San_Diego_Ties.html shows the suspects, and they don't look the type to be racially motivated.

What? You think that people of color can't be racist? Let me remind you that 69% of black voters voted in favor of Prop 8 here in CA.

From a Chinese-American perspective, minority males are more likely to be 'protective' of females of the same ethnicity, either looking down on their 'not-one-of-us' male suitors as being beneath them, or expressing jealousy with 'what, we're not good enough for you (racial+sexist epithet of choice)?'

I've seen it also with the few latinos and blacks I know, as well. Same-race male-on-male crime is usually a matter of macho 'honour,' or simple predation.

You're welcome to your own opinion, and I join you in lamenting the sadness of this event. Two young lives with bright futures ahead of them, pointlessly cut short.
