Ambitious Wench, you gave me permission to post questions to you on IRC. So here they are:

1) You have beautiful red hair, and I know you've worn it in various styles in the past. Have you ever dyed it -- tried life as a blonde or brunette?

Nope. I will admit to nudging my color with henna, though. As much as I enjoy blondes and brunettes, I have no desire to give up my red hair. In the summer of 1978 had a perm. I looked like a brillo pad. *cringe*

2) Lemonade, orange juice, or sun tea?

Sun Tea. Specifically Dragon Pearl Jasmine

3) You have a lot of different pets. Not counting Techi ( ;) ), which species of pet is your favorite?

Cats. They sit in your lap and purr if you are a worthy human being. (Worthy=warm in this case.)

4) Folk music, country, punk/goth, or rock 'n roll?

Folk, Classic, Celtic, and Rock and Roll. Not big on Jazz fusion, nor rap, or country.

5) I don't think you've ever told me where you're originally from. Did you grow up in the area you live now? What cities/countries have you lived in throughout your life?

I was born at Chanute AFB, Ill. I was my mother's discharge from the Air Force. (No, I'm serious. She told me the only reason she got pregnant was to get out of the military) I have lived in Monterey, Carmel, Scaramento, Clovis, Salinas, Lancaser, and Coronado California. Also Oak Harbor, and Coupeville, Washington. Spent several years at the now defunct NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii. Have lived in Providence, Pawucket, East Providence, Kingston, West Warwick, and Johnston, RI.

6) Last but least -- Lemon bars, sticky buns, or apple pie?

Seconded.

Not only does it come in various shades of red, but it's a) natural as opposed to chemical, b) conditioning, so it doesn't destroy your hair, and c) washes out in a couple of months (depending how often you wash your hair.)

I put some in back in April and it's time for another round... On blond hair the lighter formulas will send you from strawberry to auburn, on dark hair, most of them will condition with coppery to chestnut highlights, and on my medium-brown it comes out Almost Red But Not Quite, which is just right.

a) natural as opposed to chemical

ObPedant: Cyanide is natural. Jimson weed is natural. Botox is natural. This is not a guarantee of safety. And all of them, and henna too, are 100% full of chemicals. Naturally-occurring chemicals, but chemicals nevertheless.

Thanks, hon. I'll have to dig up my old lemon bar recipe before I come visit. :)
