clarification

I'm fine, not hurt. Car was parked and a tree fell on the road behind it, right down the middle of the road. One of the limbs took out my back window. Just filed a claim with state farm, my insurance. Not sure i"m covered for this. More as it develops.

Dumb question - where was it parked? If its on your employer's property (i.e. the national park) their laibility insurance might cover it just as they would have to cover a tree falling on a visitor's car.

That kind of thing is what comprehensive is for, and why I always carried it on the Goldie even when blue book was under $500 - because I figured that the couple hundred bucks I'd get for calling it totalled was better than nothing.
