Sunny day at last!
Jun. 15th, 2003 10:42 amFirst, thanks to all of you for your kind words about my body and how I relate to it. Shadow_5tails, Amber and Jazz both agree with you about Botticelli's women.
Yesterday was a wonderful day--it was so good to be able to pose again. Amber is indeed a truly talented artist. The process of a picture growing beneath the artist's hand is fascinating to me.
There was good food, delightful conversation, and when I left, I was shocked to see that it was almost 10:00 pm!
My car died on the way home. I noticed that my panel lights and headlights were dim, and getting dimmer. Within 5 miles of my house, it just died. I was lucky--managed to hit a green light on the last leg of rt 6, and coasted to the Shell station at the intersection of 6 and I295. Pulled right into a parking stall, too!
I called Lynn, she came out and called AAA. The car is going to be worked on on Monday, which means that Lynn will be dropping me off at work at about 6 AM. :::sigh:::
I hate being car-less.
In other news, the weather has taken a turn for the better--I will be out in the yard today, and hopefully will have the front yard mowed by the end of the day. But not if I continue to sit here and type.
Oh! Wait! We've torn apart the upstairs bath, and have begun renovating it. And, I've sent a email off to The Classic Group for a quote on cunsultation fees. Be sure to check out their portfolio--And no, we are NOT that rich. Our house has a serious sag in the upstairs floor, and we need advice on how to stop it from getting worse, and if we can repair it.
Pictures will be forthcoming of the work in progress.
