ambitious_wenchJenny, m'dear, can you recommend a brand of hard drive that you've found to be dependable? One that lasts a long time before sounding out the click of death?

All hard drives fail.
All of them. Some maybe more than others, but it's a probability game. This is why everyone will tell you something different in relation to this question: it's people who have had a bad experience on one hand versus people who haven't with that brand, but have with another.
Well if you want to be prepared...
