World's largest tree
Oct. 15th, 2007 09:56 pmThe General Sherman tree in Sequoia National Park is the world's largest tree by volume. There are wider trees, and taller trees, but over all this tree has the largest mass/volume. Giant Sequoias have almost perfectly cylindrical trunks, not tapering at the top. This tree is only about 2100 years old, a baby compared to the Ancient Bristlecone Pines.
