Word of the day: Autodidact

A quick glance at Dictionary.com tells me that autodidact means "self taught", or someone who has learned a subject without the benefit of a teacher or formal education.

I'm not really sure that's possible, because we all have teachers, even if that teacher is the author of the books read in order to learn.

I'm fortunate that I have teachers around the world and throughout time.
