1. That I'm still that "cootie-girl" in 4th grade everybody hated.

2. That my Grandmother was in fact the Last Good Republican on the face of the earth. Although, I'm gaining more evidence to support that one.

3. That unions can be good, all it takes is the members to stand together.

4. That I NEED butter, cream, and bacon or sausage for breakfast or I will DIE.

5. That someday I will make sense of US politics.

6. That my vote matters.

7. That someday we will travel through space like Star Trek, and have no need for money.

8. That if I could fight Ann Coulter in a fair fight, I'd win.

9. That if I could debate Ann Coulter, I'd win.

10. That Ann Coulter is really a man.

I gotta to disagree on #2. Many of my fellow Native Americans are Republicans and they are very good people. The issue that primarily keeps them from supporting Dems is gun control. See the white man came and took our guns away, then he tried to wipe us off the face of the earth. Many Indians firmly beleive that the only thing slowing the white man down is that we are now armed and this time we'll fight back.

With all due respect, wasn't it the "white man" that gave the Native American people guns in the first place? Othwerwise, I can respect their desire to bear arms. As a Democrat, I support the right to bear arms.

Also too, there is a disctinction between a good person and a good Republican. The latter is increasingly becoming an oxymoron.

Sorry that was me in the above comment. Didn't realize I wasn't logged in.
White men never "gave" us any guns. (Much like the Chinese didn't give white men gunpowder) They did bring guns to our world. And there was a concerted effort to disarm us in the course of the genocide.
I would still disagree. My Native friends who are Republicans are very earnest in their desire to protect our right to defend ourselves. Thefore they are good Republicans in my eyes. They are affiliating themselves with the only party that will protect our rights in this area.
Gun control is a platform of the Democratic party. so it is correct to say if you support the democratic party your are supporting the limiting and/or removal of our access to guns.

Not to worry.
You're right, white men sold guns to Indians--and you're right, they did forcibly disarm them.
And yes, they did commit genocide on Native Americans. Which reminds me of how the so-called Republican adminstration is behaving toward Iraqis. We sold them the WMD, we forced them to disarm, and now we are killing them. Which I KNOW my grandmother would have been appalled over. That made her a Good Republican to my mind.

I'm totally with you on #4 - I found a deli in Vancouver that had double-smoked bacon and I would get it sliced thick. That stuff made breakfasts great.

And 8,9,10, I'd pay to see that. Ann Coulter is the most hateful creature passing itself for female I've ever seen on the airwaves. Somebody needs to lay some kung fu on her, stat.

Point 2:
Not that I'd call myself a Republican (can't even spell it) but I seem to think more along those lines (consuming possession by the grandfather???). And I always thought I was one of your favorite people :-(

How do I get ahold of you?? Have a desire to just sit and chat... missing old friends - if you know what I mean.

Love
