Well, now that I'm back online, I've been following the news via my RSS/ATOM feeds again. Pretty damn depressing. Seems Bush is *still* president. Damn.
For the last 8 months or so, I've been out of the loop. Yes, I still get Argument Shop, but rarely read the numerous articles Susan sends with such regularity. Scanning the subject lines was about as much as I could do with my limited time in the Company computer lab.
But now I've got more news coming than I can handle, time to cull the list of feeds.
Looks like WaPo caved under one day of allowing comments on their blog; To them I say, if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
The whale that foundered in the Thames has died. Pity, that.
Two miners bodies have been found after a mine fire in West Virginia--and I'm seeing a lot of articles about how this administration has loosened mine safety regulations.
Speaking of culling: Grey squirrels are to be culled in the UK because they are crowding out the native red squirrels. Seems the greys were imported in the 19th century from America. Do you suppose the importing of Shakespeare's birds to America was retribution?
I note that Dylan's writing has improved tremendously over the years I've known him. Just read Entropy 104 and 105. Very good dialog, Dyl. Keep at it.
I'm still learning to use my camera. I've downloaded a program called Photomatix 2.2.1 that does High Dynamic Rang exposure blending. Wish I had the money to buy the reg key. I'm going to try it on several exposures from the Ahwahnee Meadow web cam, see what happens.
My knee is hurting--it's this cold, I think. Taken yesterday and today off of work because of it. Gonna be a lean paycheck come friday.
More later, folks.
