Found rock art at Emerald Pool, above vernal falls. Note the rust stains on the granite wall-- they look like a flying bird on the left, a running stag in the middle, and a large animal jumping into water on the right.

As far as I can tell, these are natural stains, not man made.

Do you think you're up for a climb to the top of Vernal Falls? It's pretty hairy in spots. I have something in mind that is easier, and just as spectacular, and is much more secluded.

I'll tell you about it when you get here, girlfriend.

Finally found directions online, I'll be coming in the South Entrance off of Hwy 41. I'm getting my inhaler refilled tomorrow, so I *might* manage a hike up the falls, but we'll have to go sooooooo slowly I don't want you to get frustrated.

We'll figure it out Sat night...the day after tomorrow! woot!
