ambitious_wenchWell, it looks like I'm connectionless for a while, my friends. My room mate was using my laptop, and it shut down. Now it won't start up at all. The front lights flash, I can hear an odd humm, and then it stops. Won't even boot up. I am HOPING that it's a fan failsafe. Won't be able to find out for a while, I don't have access to tools or parts. Yet. Hell, I may just take a plane home and get my Mac out of storage since I'm in the dorm and it will be safe from bears.
So, I am not dead, I haven't fallen off Half Dome, but it looks like I'm going to be incommunicado for a while.
In other good news, I got a free tripod for my camera; all it needs is the quickshoe to connect to my camera. $12.50 for that. Now just to find a way to upload my images untill I have a stable connection myself.
I'll write when I can, and I'll be checking my email irregularly.
Oh, would someone let Dr. Kralk know? He doesn't read my journal.
I suppose this means more time for hiking, instead of schlepping to the Ahwahnee for IRC every night.
