Sightings.

ambitious_wenchIt seems that we are in for some thunderstorms, according to the local scuttlebutt. If it's true, it should be interesting. I've heard that the thunder echos through the valley, booming along the length. We should be in for a treat.
The pin oaks are in full flower, and there's a flourescent green-yellow powder on everything. I've seen some really beautiful swirls on puddles.
Good news! My son is sending me a new camera; An Olympus c-765, 4 Megapixels with 10X optical zoom. I'll be learning how to take really good pictures with it! watch out for more images starting the end of next week. I have the best son in the world! Thank you, Jay.
There are a couple of lupine plants in front of the Ahwahnee, and they have buds on them. These look like hybrids, and I've seen postcards with images of them in the stores. We'll see if they are as lovely as the postcard images.
Sent out a bunch of postcards yesterday; will be sending out more over the next few days.
For those on the Frithmas list, please accept them in lieu of last year's frithmas card. Yes, I was a bad Fudd and didn't send them out. My bad.
It's an incredible day here in Yosemite. This is supposed to be the busiest weekend of the year. I've accepted some overtime on Sunday, will be working from 7:45-4:15. Yes, I will be online Sunday night.
This Saturday, I plan on hiking to the Yosemite Falls Cascade. Yosemite Falls is in three parts: Upper falls, the cascades, and then lower falls. It's still a considerable hike to the cascades, and I figure it'll be a good hike for the day.
Mike, once I get the new camera, I'll package up the Agfa and send it to you. You're welcome to fiddle with it, and see if you can get it to work. I want to see pictures of your family!
