You know how some folks get together to read "Eye of Argon" out loud in turns? See how long it takes for each reader to burst into gales of laughter?

It doesn't work with actors. They can read it with a straight face.

I will never forget Coppo declaiming the bit about lithe and opaque nose.

I still have nightmares about it.

I'm currently blocking out the name of the author. But I once found some scientific papers, by a guy with the same name and initials, and it read pretty much the same way.

(To be honest, I might have been the problem there, as it was something to do with fluid thermodynamics.)

Eye of Argon is notorious among my compatriots. One person will still break into giggles at the word "yokel" because of that monstrosity. Hee.
