The weird thing about unitarian_jihad is that while some are treating it purely as a fun thing, there are several who are actually forming groups, handing out pamplets and taking the battle to the bigots with non violent protest and reasoned discussion over coffee and cookies!. Little pockets of warmth and freindliness are appearing spontaniously across America. If i were a neocon, I would be worried! I like to see this sorta thing happen!
We just "officially" joined our local congregation today. It was a vrey simple but touching ceremony where all of the new adult members signed the member book.
I will have to pass this on to the members because I think they will all get a big kick out of this.
On a more serious note apparently some yahoos down in Texas are trying to get a UU congregation's tax-exempt status removed. I will work on getting more details.
