As [livejournal.com profile] ghostfreeman said on page 17 of the comments, "LJ is serious business."

For a bit more info, this is* may be the Live Journal of the boy who killed himself and several classmates in Redlake MN.

Screencaps of all three of his entries, his user profile, and his userpics can be found here:

"Thoughts of a dreamer"

EDIT: * As my favorite polecat points out in the comments, I have not verified that this is indeed what it appears to be. Also, the comments option has been shut down. Thank goodness, it was getting *really* ugly.

How do we know it's him? I don't see a name or any other evidence. I'm curious, but what's the verification stream?

You know, polecat, that's a damn good question. I seem to remember hearing the name "weise" on the radio, and when the URL to the user info was passed to me by someone I do trust, I never questioned it.

My friend (who does hold a doctorate, and someone I look to for being a critical thinker) simply shared the url in chat with the comment that it was eerie, or creepy, or something similar. When I went to it, it became clear that this was the LJ of the boy who'd commited the murders. Conversation afterwards indicated that we all thought it was his LJ.

Interesting to note that all comments have disappeared. The Live journal remains, however. If Live Journal closed the comments, I have to wonder why they didn't close the entire journal. If someone else closed it, I sure would like to know who.

I'll make the edits to the post, and thanks for reality checking me, polecat. Here, have a box of raisins as a special treat*.

*My ferrets loved raisins, and craisins, (dried cranberries).
