Mar. 21st, 2005 10:01 amThis is my grandmother's father. Yes, that's a camera in his hands, an old Brownie. He was fond of taking photographs. He had pure white hair by the time he was 20 years old, and was very thin all his life. He was buried in his military uniform. He was a major in the Army, and had fought in the Mexican-American wars. This picture was taken prior to 1958, at the home of a distant relative in Carmel, CA.
