Amazing how you can get cats to run head-long into walls with this thing.

Make them chase the big red bug. Of course the really freaky thin is that they never seem to catch it.

But can you get the cats to run upstairs or climb the wall instead of running into it?

Oh, honey, climbing stairs and walls is easy. Getting them to run into walls is more fun. *noddle*

Last night we were playing with the mirror--one cat trying to get the red dot on the mirror, another cat trying to get the reflection on the opposite wall, and the third cat going nuts over the red dot on the pull chain for the ceiling light.

Just try not to aim it at reflective surfaces, especially at an angle where the beam would hit you in the eye. My "laser-pen" has just such a warning on the side...

A couple of years ago during my choir's tech rehersal of our Christmas show, some of the singers brought their small (about 2-4 year old) children. The guy working the spotlight put in a red gell and ran it along the floor. And just like that, he had an instant giant lazer pointer. Those kids never got tired of chasing that thing and whenever the light stopped, they would all dogpile on each other to "get" it.
