As if the fact that Don Cherry made the top ten list of "The Greatest Canadian" didn't upset enough people, what really made a lot of people view the show as a farce was the fact that the only woman even close to the top ten was Shania Twain. I mean, it's bad enough that none of the women who fought so hard to change the British North America Act to recognize women as persons and not property actually got acknowledged by those who voted in this competition, but the fact that Twain beat out McLachlan really adds insult to injury.
