Not again!

ambitious_wenchI walked into the hanger to see the division chalkboard wiped clean of all notices. In their place was a chalk rendering of the trails of the bits of the space shuttle Challenger as it exploded.
Everyone was in the lounge, watching that horror replay over and over on the one tv.
This morning, I woke up and Techi told me "We've lost another spaceship. Rengeeks says it exploded. Only thing I can find on the net is that they lost communication a little while ago."
The first words out of my mouth were "You know what this means? All funding for NASA will go to fund that fucking war!"
In a time when we don't even know that there's a space mission because they are so commonplace, it's such a jolt when something like this happens. How ironic that Columbia was carrying the first Israeli astronaut.
This hurts.
