This from John Kerry.
Nov. 19th, 2004 08:03 pmI just received this from John Kerry. (Yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't *really* the recently-trounced presidential candidate, prolly some email-bot. But still...) Looks like Mr. Kerry is going to introduce a bill on the first day of Congress for healthcare for all children in America. And he wants *me* (and you, and you, and you...) to co-sponser it. Um, has anyone told him about the whole internet petitions thang?
In any case, call me a fool, I've signed it. I know I'm a pollyanna, continuing to believe when it's been demonstrated that hope is a child's dream of Santa Claus. But as TheFerrett said, What if? What if? What if? It does me no harm to sign it. It may do good to sign it. And I like the idea of a bill with millions of "signatures".
So, I ask you to consider it, my friends. It's not like you're clapping for Tinkerbell in a theater, where the bully from school will see you and make fun of you the next day. Be sure to use the name you registered to vote with, and if you aren't registered to vote, I urge you to do so.
