MoveOn.Org has started their own petition to Congress to initiate an investigation into the 2004 elections.

From their mailing list:

Questions are swirling around whether the election was conducted honestly or not. We need to know -- was it or wasn't it?

If people were wrongly prevented from voting, or if legitimate votes were mis-counted or not counted at all, we need to know so the wrongdoers can be held accountable, and to help prevent this from happening again.

Members of Congress are demanding an investigation to answer this question. Join me in supporting their call, at:

Thanks.

To steal from Ben Elton, who probably stole it from somewhere else... isn't an online petition against untrustworthy elections rather like fucking for virginity?

As I posted elsewhere, yes, online petitions are not the best way to get Congress to investigate. I've posted this to show a growing trend.

Who knows? It may be that someone, somewhere will be inspired to start up a hardcopy petition to submit.

You're exempt, Art. Not too many US citizens in OZ, and I doubt you have the means to visit them all and get signatures.
