RSS feeds are readable in many ways. There are websites (such as bloglones.com) that will aggregate your list of feeds for you, providing you with a single page that lists headlines and entries to blogs. You can also install a program locally that will collect them for you, and open your browser to the page in question. As a Mac user, I've found that NewsFire is right up my ally. It sits in the dock (kinda like the taskbar on a PC) and lets me know when there is a new article. I'm not sure what's available for PCs. I'd recommend going to tucows.com and searching for "feed reader" or RSS reader.
