Here's a wonderful example of the sort of mindset he is talking about:

Our parents invested in the future, ours as well as

are reaping the tax benefits, the benefits from the
taxes they paid. Today we have assets—highways,
schools and colleges, the Internet, airlines—that
come from the wise investments they made.

Kinda makes you glad to pay taxes, doesn't it?
