Open letter to Mr. Bush

I find your use of the word "mandate" inappropriate. Just who mandated? God? Think again. I don't accept any mandates from your god. I occasionally agree with some of the things in the Bible, but I don't believe that I must follow them because they are mandates from God.
I'd like to remind you that the treaty of Tripoli states that we are not in any way a "Christian nation". Yes, many of our values are based on Christian precepts, and the Christianity of the founding fathers is a fact, but we are NOT a theocracy.
You have an obligation to those of us who are NOT Christian. You are a president, and you do not have the divine right of kings.
