This is a lanner hawk. They are from Africa. I can't remember the man's name, but he is the one who actually flies the hawks at King Richard's Faire. I do remember his daughter's name is "Talon", though, and she's one of those wunderkind we all hear about. Maybe 6-7, and she displays more self-esteem and intelligence than many of the adults I know. Photo from my cell phone, believe it or not.
