First tomato sangwich of the season

I've been working in my garden this morning, pulling up the jungle of weeds that threaten to take over. I've got a few little watermelons, far too many zucchini, no bell peppers yet--they've been eaten from the plant by something! But the best experience of all was finding a fully ripe tomato hidden away at the bottom of one of my two plants:

I just returned from the store with a loaf of sourdough bread. I made a sangwich (I've fallen into Rho-Dielandese and I can't get out!) with that tomato. Sliced thin, sprinkled with a tiny bit of kosher salt (yes, there is a difference in the taste!) and a bit of Hellman's (AKA Best Foods) Mayonnaise.

Gods, it's summer in New England, at last.

Now, to go pick a bouquet of sunflowers.

Tomato on sourdough is excellent, but I use coarse sea salt - even get texture with that.

A sangwich is a sandwich in other parts of the world. Here in Rho-Dieland (say it out loud, and no, it's not a part of Noo Yawk, to figure out where I am) things are pronounced differently. I hadn't thought of course sea salt. I may have to get some to try it!

too many? you can never have too many naughty shaped vegtables....or fruites, or buildings....ok you cant have too many naughy shaped things in general lol. dont gardens just rock :) our cheery tomatoes are in....my salad!!! oh yeah yummy ness :) see ya friday luv xoxoxo
