I'm worried about my friend and his family in Florida. Granted, he's 60 miles from the coast, but what with Charley being upgraded to a catagory 4 hurricane, I'm not sure if that will protect them.

Malloc, I hope you are safe and sound. And continue to be so through the storm.

And to Whomever is listening, please nudge the storm down a notch or two?

Well, it has come down a bit, and so far everything is OK here. A lot of rain and some wind but nothing to cause concern.

He was actually inland south carolina and weathered it fine.

sorry to here about work - too bad you're working Faire or I'd say jump in car and come for a visit. You'd have a captive audience since I can't take my feet off the ground (Dr's orders) for 10 weeks. And worse yet - NO SMOKING :-(

Well, I'll have time to finish my costume, now.

What's up with not taking your feet off the ground? Makes walking rather difficult, doesn't it?

As for not smoking, get the patch!

You can still have coffee, can't you?

Love,
E.

Seem to keep "Just missing you" on line. :-)

"Keeping feet off the ground" should have been "Keeping feet on the ground". My MRI showed two bulging disc between C5-6 and C6-7 with bone chips and spurs. Spine surgery September 1st.

The patch would be great but it's the nicotine I have to get rid of so the bone grafts will heal right. :-(

Yes, still have coffee and now that I know it's a clear liquid (as oppose to what Rick always said) no head exploding head ache this surgery :-)

More details at my Journal.

Give me call. Rick has your phone number with him and doesn't realize it :-)

Hi,
I found your journal a little while ago as I was going through random journals.
I just wanted to letcha know that I live on the east coast of Florida and we had some *really* bad damage here and by the time it got to us our gusts were only 90mph.
I guess this isn't really comforting for you, but I just wanted to let you know what I know.

Jenna,

Thank you so much for letting me know. I've since heard that my friend is safe and sound.
