lederhosen who got it from silmaril: Your user icons, where did you get them? I realize a lot are simply photos, but where/when were they taken, and why did you choose that picture, that pose?
This one is from the good folks at vintage_sex some time back. From what I understand, it's a pencil drawing of the more famous "Mainboucher Corset" by Horst P. Horst. I unfortunatly do not know who the artist is of this image. It's my default because I simply love the understated elegance of it.
Being a Neo-Pagan, I have a rather deep love for the turning of the wheel of the year. I took this image in my front yard several years ago, and cropped it down to this icon. I love the old-gold color of the leaves.
This image is of a Brigid's cross as it is being hit by a ray of sunlight in my kitchen. Time of year: Feb 2.
Dona Nobis Pacem. Peace rose. This was my icon shortly after 9/11. Another one of my shots, my one good bloom from that rose bush before it died the following winter.
