I'll admit to not being impressed by much of modern design. I find it too jarring, too intrusive, too angular or too blobby to speak to my asthetic tastes. However, I've fallen in love with this house.

What would make this house perfect? This built-in, self-cleaning, coffee-espresso-latte station.

I mean, doesn't this dining room

I'm just trying to think what a space like that would look like full of my stuff, and the result, not surprisingly, is "rather like my current apartment, only with a better floor and less dust."

That's the problem with model homes. They don't account for the little heaps of dirty laundry, the overflowing houseplants, and the box of "stuff that would go in a junk drawer if you had a junk drawer."

I didn't get a chance to check out the website yet, but that fruitbowl is awesome! I would be so proud (of myself) if I came up with that idea. Sheer genius.

I wonder how one could make that without dealing with the fumes, but still being able to monitor its melting. Actually, I guess they'd need a clear glass bowl to let it melt in? Hmmmm...

I kind of like the glowing blue sofa but personally I'd prefer it with smoother curves - those corners look a little sharp.
