Yonmei,

You asked for Brits only on your live journal, but can help suggesting one source of Vitamin B1: active dry brewer's yeast sprinkled on popcorn. It's the dry granular stuff, not the moist crumbly stuff. Use it instead of butter and popcorn.

Brewer's yeast is very high in B-complex if I recall.

Thanks for the info.

I have been reading up on sources for B1 (brewers yeast is available here from health food shops), but I was honestly interested as to what Brits would think of as B1 sources. Hence my restriction. ;-)

I didn't think you folk were allowed to have vitamins. Something about cooking all vegetables to a ghastly olive-drab puree being in the national constitution or whatnot...

another good source of vitamin b is vegemite...a vile, black concoction available from Australia House in London. Not sure if you could get it locally but a lot of people seem to like it! It's like a vego version of bonox or marmite
