Bob Dylan is a good example, he was anti-War but Woodstock wasn't his scene, even though people there respected him and some of them (like Jimi Hendrix) even recorded cover versions of his songs.

I'm not sure if Leonard Cohen counted as folkie or hippie, but he's a Buddhist now.
