I finally have a car again. Oh, thank goodness, I'm mobile again!!

My pen pal Kevin Blackburn admonished "Public transportation". Easy for him to say--He lives in a country where public transportation is much more common than here.

I am jealous of Montreal--the Metro was wonderful there, and the people were very friendly. And more than willing to help an Anglophone like me.

Now that I am mobile, I shall be spending more time at the gym as well. I am looking forward to that.

I am so tired of being this shape--not fitting into my favorite clothes is getting old, too.

I think I hear that steam room calling me! Bye!

Public transportation is the reason I can get away with not owning a car.
It's not going to get me to Massachussets this year, though.

You should listen to some more Edith Piaf

I dunno, I think Kralk managed to take PT from Montreal, so if you're willing to spend twelve hours in a bus in the heat of summer, you might could manage it...

(And hey, I took PT practically from my doorstep to AWFie's. Bus, LightRail, Plane, Plane, Shuttle-Bus, Subway (two cars), Commuter Rail, and a phone call at the end...)

I managed to take a bus from RI to Montreal. Took some time, yeah, but it was worth not having to drive. But if I'd driven myself, I think it would have taken less time.

Now, as far as PT in RI, it suxx0rs. In order to get to Roger Williams University in Bristol. which is 23 miles from here by 10 AM, I have to be at the bust stop 5 blocks from here by 7:47 AM.

No, I'm not kidding. Forget trying to take a bus to work. They don't run early enough for me to get anywhere.

Now, understand that this is because they don't run often enough. The actual rides take maybe about an hour, total. But I can get there in 30 minutes by private car.

So, what, do we all gather in RI before heading to Scott Mayo's place?

I'm going to need a bit of an idea of what I'm doing, in e-mail, in specific wording, in 12-point Times New Roman font, 10 pages double spaced, using the MLA reference system, and without using the letter "e" in the entire document... ugh, I'm having Theories of Writing class flashbacks X_X

Well, there's PT in Idaho. Sort of. If you want to go where they go.

You see, you can ride TVT (Treasure Valley Transit) busses around Nampa. In Boise, there's the BUS (Boise Urban Stages). Both of which have rather limited routes, as well as hours of operation. Like, say, weekends - they don't run weekends, which is the one time I'd actually ride them.

Oh, and if you want to use PT to get from Nampa to Boise, you're out of luck. They don't run between cities. It's either private car, or the old shoe leather express.

I cannot use public transport. I get so anxious, I become sick.
