Car update:
Jan. 9th, 2008 10:23 amI just got through talking with the director of Human Resources, and he's going to be checking into liability through Park Service. I had the garage look at the car, and it seems the frame is fine. Back window has been quoted at $630 installed, and a coworker suggested that I talk to a body worker here in the park to see if he can do it cheaper. I'll be getting a quote on the driver's mirror, and the windshield wiper arm.
I've received a generous donation already, but it won't cover the window. Thank you to PS for giving so generously.
Prints from ImageKind (no mats, no frame, just the print) will cost you about $10, and I get 99ยข. I can make prints, so if you'd like to help please consider buying directly from me. I'll charge $10 each, or three for $25.

Date: 2008-01-10 03:01 am (UTC)If the mirror was a power mirror, you could be out as much as three figures for it. Wiper arms aren't too expensive. Again, if you could find a used one, it'll cost you a lot less.
This from the cheapskate Mainah whose former vehicle was an '82 Chevy Impala with parts on it from both a '79 (wiper transmission--$25 vs $100) and '85 (tail light assembly--$35 vs $200!) Chevy Caprice Classic on it.
Good luck
