Wulfing wood

Sulamith Wulfing was a favorite artist of mine in my teens; I loved her use of color--murky settings, but always some bit of luminousity. Her settings, too, were oddly chaotic at first glance, but would meld into a subtle rhythm the longer you looked at it. I thought of her work when I saw this stand of hoary trees across the river from me.

Wow -- at first glance, without my glasses, I thought it was an ocean wave breaking on the rocks, and I thought "wow, man! Edie's pictures just keep getting better and better! -- but then, durh, I thought "where the hell is the ocean in relation to where you are?" Then I put my glasses on. :-) Hi, Love -- how are ya?

I'm doing pretty well. all things considered. Working at Badger Pass (the best value for sking in North America, I think! Lift tickets $20/day for adults, Mon-Thurs through the month of January).

and for some odd reason, I have internet access here in the ticket booth. I'm not going to complain, that's for sure.
