Wulfing wood
Jan. 4th, 2006 03:43 pmSulamith Wulfing was a favorite artist of mine in my teens; I loved her use of color--murky settings, but always some bit of luminousity. Her settings, too, were oddly chaotic at first glance, but would meld into a subtle rhythm the longer you looked at it. I thought of her work when I saw this stand of hoary trees across the river from me.
