I'm so naive sometimes.

Saw something just now on my RSS feed; you know how it is, you're zipping through the list, and something catches your eye. This time it was a BoingBoing post that puzzled me. An image of two dogs wearing talitz and kippahs--the blue and white shawls and yarmulkahs, skullcaps.

Not bothering to read the headline or the body, I wondered if there really were Jews who'd dress up their dogs for Shabbos--treating animals as family members is a universal human trait, I supposed.

Then I read the article--racist halloween costumes for pets.

*boggle*

Calling someone a dog is an insult in just about every culture. Considering Jews were called dogs by Nazis makes this even worse.
